The tenth spring meeting of the Dutch bryological and lichenological society was held in Ave-et-Auffe, a hamlet in the Famenne in the southern part of Belgium. The Famenne, at the border of the Ardennes Plateau, is known for its species rich grasslands, broadleaved woods and streams. The first day excursions were made to sites within the boundaries of the Parc naturel de Lesse et Lomme; first at “Les Grignaux”, a wooded hill with rocky calcareous grasslands in the valley of the river Ave near Hérimont, then along the Lomme near the Grotte d'Éprave and finally to the Belvédère of Han-sur-Lesse. The second day, we visited the wooded valley of the Masblette near Fourneau-St. Michel; a site in the siliceous Ardennes district and bryologically very different from the sites in the calcareous Famenne. The final excursion was held in the Parc naturel of Furfooz, a spectacular reserve in the valley of the Lesse, much visited by tourists but not by bryologists. Some bryosociological relevees were made. Some interesting finds of lichens and lichenicolous fungi in the Netherlands II
Seven species, Absconditella fossarum, Epigloea filifera, Libertiella malmedyensis, Micarea misella, M. myriocarpa, Pezizella epithallina, Vezdaea acicularis and a new variety of Peltigera, P. didactyla var. extenuata are recorded for the first time for the Netherlands. Notes on morphology, ecology and distribution are given.

On a week's holiday in the island of Schiermonnikoog Clauzadea monticola and Physcia stellaris were found, new to the Wadden Sea Islands. Arthonia radiata, Mycoporum quercus and Parmelia revoluta appeared to be new to Schiermonnikoog.
